What we collect

Your email address when you join the waitlist.

Website analytics data (only after you accept analytics cookies): event data about how the site is used (e.g., pages viewed and actions taken). Google states GA4 does not log or store IP addresses.

Is providing data mandatory?

Providing your email is optional, but if you do not provide it you cannot join the waitlist. Analytics cookies are optional and run only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Administrative messages about your waitlist subscription (e.g., confirming you joined, important service notices). Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): running a spam-safe waitlist and keeping subscribers informed.
  • Marketing updates about SkipGap (e.g., launch, early access, product news). Consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Website analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand how our website is used and improve it. Runs only after you accept analytics cookies in the banner. Consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
  • Security and spam prevention (Google reCAPTCHA v3) to protect our forms and service. Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the site secure and preventing abuse.

Processors / recipients

  • Brevo (email service) to store the waitlist and send emails.
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 (form protection) to prevent spam and abuse. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • Google Analytics 4 (analytics, only if accepted) provided by Google Ireland Limited.

International transfers (where applicable)

Google may process data outside the UK; Google states it uses approved transfer mechanisms (e.g., the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses) as described in its policies.

How to withdraw consent / unsubscribe

Use the unsubscribe link in our emails. If you cannot find it, email mydata@bypasshire.com.

For analytics cookies consent, use the Cookie preferences link/button on the site to change your choice at any time.

Retention

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or we close the waitlist, whichever comes first.

For website analytics, we configure Google Analytics to retain event-level data for up to 14 months.

Your rights

You can access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object (to processing based on legitimate interests), and exercise data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time (see “How to withdraw consent / unsubscribe”). You have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
